Laura Blue, is the wife of Pastor Tim Blue. Her family and ministry are where her heart lies, most of her time is spent in wife and mom mode or serving the people of her church and community. Most of her childhood was spent in the ministry, in a small town of Benton, Kentucky. She learned many life lessons and experienced what it meant to serve the Lord in her  everyday life, and for that she is very grateful. She took piano lessons as a child, not knowing that one day she would use that gift in her home church in Charlotte, NC where her husband is the Pastor of Greater Life Baptist Church. (Proverbs 20:24) Speaking of my husband, we first met in 1992 while I was visiting my aunt in Charlotte, NC. I was only 17 at the time, but I knew right away that he was going to be my husband! We got married in October 1995, so this year we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary! Our marriage has produced four beautiful children who all love and are actively serving in the ministry. In 1997, my husband felt the calling to preach the gospel and immediately worked with the youth at our church and traveling with the Highways and Hedges Tent Ministry, while I worked as the ministry’s administrator. Then, in 2000, we took over that ministry and lived full-time on the road. Three of our four children were born during this time, and they were all homeschooled as well! Talk about a busy time! Later, in 2007, we were called off the road as my husband followed the Lord into the assistant pastor’s role at Greater Life Baptist Church. He held that role until 2013 when he was voted in as the lead pastor and is still going strong today! Then, in February 2017, we were blessed with the precious gift of our 4th child, Cambri Grace Blue, who is now eight years old. Currently, I serve beside my husband at Greater Life, helping in the nursery, planning and hosting our monthly women’s meetings, playing the piano, and many other behind-the-scenes roles. Last but certainly not least, I’m so thankful for my relationship with God. My grandfather taught me the importance of having a personal relationship with Him, loving and serving people, always being positive, and ensuring everyone knows they will be in Heaven with Jesus one day. I am forever grateful to him for setting the Godly example of what it truly means to love and serve the Lord and for everything he taught me. Most importantly, at the age of 10, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior and knew He was the one who gave me life, hope, and joy. (Psalm 37:23) (Psalm 119:113) I love the Lord, my husband, and my church. If I could leave you with one thing, it would be to know Jesus loves you so much that HE died just for you. 2 Corinthians 6:2 “(For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.)”
